JTR Strategies Founder Jenny Rosenberg was quoted by NBC News in a story on December 8, 2020 titled, "Trump administration has yet to launch promised effort to get Americans to trust Covid-19 vaccines." The story examined a lagging national public education effort to encourage Americans to get the vaccine and educate about the available shots. According to NBC, at least 15 states said they were planning their own extensive communications campaigns to encourage the public to take the shot. As the former head of communications for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health and the U.S. Surgeon General, Jenny Rosenberg was sought out by NBC for a comment on the concern among states about the lack of a national public health education strategy. Rosenberg told NBC News, "We know that among some segments of our country, there exists a dangerous skepticism about the value of vaccination,” said Jenny Rosenberg, who ran communications for the Office of the Surgeon General during the Obama administration. “Overcoming this hurdle — which for some people may be completely rational, given our nation's mixed history with some misguided policies of the past — should already be well underway."
